Dr. Yeo is a distinguished Specialist Paediatrician and Paediatric Neurologist who trained in the United Kingdom. Since December 2016, he has been a key member of the Neurology Service at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore, where he served as the Head and Senior Consultant of the Neurology Service until 2024. His clinical expertise spans Paediatric Neurology, Seizures & Epilepsy, Tics & Tourette syndrome, Headache & Migraine, Movement disorders and Cerebral palsy.
Dr. Yeo completed his Basic Specialist Training at the Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff, followed by Higher Specialist Training at Southampton Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom. He furthered his expertise through a highly competitive national selection process, completing his Subspecialty Programme in Paediatric Neurology at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospitals. In 2012, he was awarded Completion of Certified Training (CCT) in Paediatric Neurology & Paediatrics by the Royal College of Paediatric & Child Health (RCPCH) and the General Medical Council (UK). He was elected a Fellow of the RCPCH in 2014 and served as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow from 2012 to 2016. During this time, he was instrumental in establishing the Paediatric Complex Motor Disorders Service, Neuro-Rehabilitation Service, and Pharmacological Modulation Therapy & Service, providing multi-disciplinary care and innovative treatments for complex motor and movement disorders. Dr. Yeo also held an Honorary Consultant Paediatric Neurologist position at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital and Evelina Children’s Hospital in London, where he honed his skills in Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for complex movement disorders in children.
Upon joining KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore, Dr. Yeo was pivotal in setting up the Paediatric Complex Motor Disorders and Movement Disorder Service, as well as the Paediatric Integrated Neuro-Rehabilitation Service. His work in clinical research and education is highly regarded, with numerous publications in reputable journals and contributions to national and international meetings. He has been awarded several research grants, including the MOH Singapore Health Service Development Programme (HSDP) award and the KKH Paediatric ACP Tan Cheng Lim Innovation Grant. In addition to his clinical and research roles, Dr. Yeo holds academic positions as a Clinical Assistant Professor with SingHealth Duke-NUS (National University of Singapore), Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (NUS), and Senior Lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His outstanding contributions to clinical service in Singapore have been recognized with multiple awards, including the Service of the Heart Awards and the SingHealth Quality Service Award (Gold) in 2018 and 2024.
Dr. Yeo is currently practising as a Senior Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Neurologist at Paediatric & Neurology Clinic, located at Mount Alvernia Hospital, and as a Visiting Consultant at Neurology Service, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
